Hoopin' in Heaven Tommy B. Night

For the fourth year in a row, Hoopin' in Heaven - Tommy B. Night was a huge success, and the Tom Bearson Foundation and Bearson family couldn't be more grateful! We are so thankful for every single person who helped put together our event on Friday, December 21st.

Similar to last year, there was a very large crowd of around 1,000 people in attendance! However, there were a couple of fun differences between this year's event and years' previous. For example, the first 600 students in attendance received free Tommy B. headbands courtesy of Jim Schmitz and B-Driven Sports! These headbands (and 100 blue Tommy B. armbands that were handed out to students and kids later) were a HUGE hit. You can learn more about B-Driven Sports hereIn addition to the headbands and armbands, it warmed our hearts to see that there were hundreds of Tommy B. shirts worn and purchased that night.

For the fourth year in a row - and last time ever, unfortunately - fan favorite the Alexandria Aces performed at half-time during the Boys' Varsity game. This year is the 30th and final season of the Alexandria Aces, and their spirit, enthusiasm, and incredible dribbling, spinning, and gymnastic routines will be greatly missed in the years to come. Thank you, Alexandria Aces for all of your performances at Hoopin' in Heaven nights! We absolutely loved them.

This year's 50/50 raffle winners were SO kind; they donated their winnings back to the Tom Bearson Foundation. So, we'd like to say a huge "thanks" to Tim Deeters and Darren Haus! The TB Foundation raffled off two custom Tom Bearson Foundation Wilson basketballs - one high school girls size and one high school boys size - to two SAYBA players. The Foundation also threw out 150 small stress ball-sized basketballs at the end of the night. The kids seemed to be having a great time with those!

Thank you (again!) to Sartell High School, Sartell Athletic Director Ryan Hauge, SAYBA, the coaches, players, captains' parents, volunteers, supporters, and TBF Board Members for all of your contributions and support leading up to and during the 4th Annual Hoopin' in Heaven - Tommy B. Night. We are forever grateful!

Lastly, thank you SO much to Greg Kremer for taking pictures of the night! â€‹A link to his pictures can be found at the top of this page, and you can view the rest of his pictures here
